My name is Tim Snowden, owner of End of Shift Apparel, and I’m a paramedic that has been working in EMS for over 20 years. For most of that time, I had the privilege of calling Kevin Robert not just a co-worker, but a true friend.
Our friendship began when I was a brand-new EMT and Kevin was working for Albany MedFlight. I’ll never forget the words that started it all — “You again?!” — after I had run into him 3–4 times in just a couple weeks. Anyone who’s ever worked around a helicopter crew knows that’s far too many times to be seeing the same team that quickly. From that day on, Kevin became not only a friend, but also a mentor, a boss, and a guide as I grew in my career.
Kevin was a straight shooter with little filter, and that’s what made him one of the best. He didn’t sugarcoat things — if you were screwing up, he’d tell you. But he always used those moments as teaching lessons, and in doing so, he made us better providers, better teammates, and better people.
After Kevin’s passing, I reached out to his daughter Chloe to ask if it would be okay to design a shirt in his memory. She was more than supportive, and touched by the overwhelming love and encouragement her and her sister Lauren have received from the EMS community.
The phrase on Kevin’s memorial shirt reads: “Forever Part of the Crew.” We chose those words because they represent exactly what Kevin was to us — an educator, a leader, and someone whose impact will always remain with us. His knowledge, his experience, and his stories continue to shape the providers we are today. His legacy will live on in all of us.
💙 All proceeds from these sales will go directly to Kevin’s daughters. This shirt will remain available as a lasting way for us to honor him, remember him, and carry forward the lessons he gave us.
Thank you to everyone who has shared their memories and support. Kevin may be gone, but he will always be Forever Part of the Crew.
